Richmond Alarm Goes Mobile

Richmond Alarm Mobile Site
With mobile traffic making up more and more of overall internet traffic, providing mobile sites to reach on-the-go customers is becoming imperative. Impression Marketing helped Richmond Alarm reach our customers by creating a mobile site that is simple and easy to navigate.

Extending Service and Access through Mobile

Richmond Alarm customers already have the capability to use smart phone applications that work remotely with home security systems so a mobile website was the next logical step. Richmond Alarm can now help existing customers find the information they need on-the-go and also grant mobile access to potential customers.

Many regular sites are difficult to navigate on a mobile device due to the small screen size. Over 10% of the Richmond Alarm website traffic was from mobile devices, so a site designed for that platform became a priority.

Quick Access, Simple Navigation

The mobile site is sleek and slimmed down, with a focus on intuitive navigation and quick loading times. Even though the appearance is different, users will have immediate access to the key components of the site which includes links to special offers, Richmond Alarm's services, including the locksmith, a clickable phone number, and links to the home site.

Mobile users are seeking specific information quickly, so Impression Marketing put it all on the front page of the mobile site, making it quicker and easier for mobile users to access the information they want.

Suspect Arrested in Brandermill Break Ins

Thursday, March 31, 2011

Locks and Deadbolts were not Enough to Stop Determined Thieves

Residents of Brandermill in Chesterfield County, VA report that they arrived home today to nine police cars in their neighborhood. Several houses on one street were broken into after the back doors were kicked in and intruders entered the homes. Locks and dead bolts did not keep them out. A suspect was arrested today, a few blocks away.
According to the Brandermill Community Association thieves are taking electronics and jewelry after breaking into locked homes. In these cases, door locks were not enough to keep thieves out. Richmond Alarm Company encourages you to contact us for a FREE Security Survey to further protect against theft and intruders.

Neighborhood Watch Advice

In addition to securing your home, police and neighborhood watch coordinators encourage actively observing your surroundings. Be aware of suspicious people or vehicles and get as much information about them as possible, such as type of clothing, approximate height, vehicle description or license plate numbers. Do not confront suspicious persons and don’t hesitate to call Chesterfield Police. If it is an emergency, call 911, or for non-emergencies call 804-748-1251.

Residential Security Systems Deter Break-ins and Help Catch Suspects

Tuesday, January 11, 2011

Residential Security KeypadResidential security systems from Richmond Alarm deter break-ins and help catch suspects in dozens of Powhatan burglaries.

A Powhatan resident had been burglarized once, and we installed a new security system to prevent more attempts. When another break-in attempt was made on November 30, 2010, the alarm caused the intruders to flee and also alerted the Sheriff’s department who made two arrests. Upon further investigation, the Sheriff’s department linked the 2 men to several other burglaries in Powhatan County. See the story in Powhatan Today.

Local Monitoring of security systems provides evidence to Law Enforcement

A similar incident occurred on January 4, 2011, also in Powhatan, Virginia. However, in this instance, the residents were at home. The alarm sounded and scared the intruders away. Unfortunately for the would-be thieves, the customer also had a residential camera system installed. The Sheriff used this video information to describe the suspects and ultimately catch them in the neighborhood a short time later.  The suspects had burglarized multiple homes that night in the neighborhood.

When will the bad guys learn, crime doesn’t pay?
